Newbie - need help with Schema validation

Hi, I'm new to xerces and I would like if some one
could tell me where to find some easy to understand
examples on how to validate, report errors, and parse
a XML document using the DOM parser.

for example on how to parse this....

--------- XSD File -------------
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<schema xsd:xmlns="............"
        targetNamespace="http://www.test.com"
        xmlns="http://www.test.com">

    <xsd:element name="Test">
        <xsd:complexType>
            <xsd:sequence>
                <xsd:element name="SomeElement"
                             type="xsd:string" />
            </xsd:sequence>
        </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:element>
</schema>

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<Test xsi:xmlns=".........."
      xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.test.com
                          Test.xsd">

     <SomeElement>Test</SomeElement>
</Test>
