DOSGI local discovery question

I have a scenario where I would like to use local discovery (ie
remote-services.xml) but would like the local discovery to automatically
detect when an endpoint goes online or offline. From what I can tell, it
looks like local discovery only happens on startup of the consumer bundle.
Is there anyway to use local discovery to tell when a remote service is
started or stopped?

Hi,

I suppose with a discovery provider, like zookeeper for instance, answers
your question.

Yes, the osgi Remote Discovery service should do this for you. If you
only want to use it locally, then you can configure it just on your
local machine...

I think a 'discovery provider' like ZooKeeper, should answer your question.
