 FYI, the JAX-RS 2.0 JSR was submitted to the JCP and is now live at
http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=339. The ballot closes on January 24.

It will. Not sure how much we want to implement the new client
functionality, but according to the JSR Jax-rs will also improve the
server-side spec.
