Incomplete check in from 480326

Appears to be some missing commits Mr Jencks...

1.2 and trunk will not build due to:

Together, this and the OpenEJB 2 build issues are making it near  
impossible for me to get anything done on any build automation...  
since I can't test and success cases or linked workflows.
