[jira] [Commented] (OPENJPA-2080) Migrate to commons-lang3

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-2080?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13198722#comment-13198722 ]

Romain Manni-Bucau commented on OPENJPA-2080:
---------------------------------------------

Hi,

maybe it should be reconsidered since openjpa is used in application or server which maybe already brings commons-lang3.

for instance in openejb and tomee we could want to remove commons-lang since we are no more using it but we can't because of openjpa.

It doesn't urge, just a note on this topic.

> OpenJPA should migrate from Commons Lang 2.x to 3.x, to eliminate the dependency on the old library.
