Connecting to Derby via ODBC

Hello:
Can Derbe in-memory DB be connected to via ODBC? And if so, what would be
the right way to do it? We've tried various approaches and have been
unsuccessful so far. For instance, this would be one of the errors
received:

SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. Communication
protocol
being used: "TCP/IP". Communication API being used: "SOCKETS". Location
where the error was detected: "10.152.73.11". Communication function
detecting the error: "connect". Protocol specific error code(s): "10061",
"*",
"*". SQLSTATE=08001
Thank you,
Pavel.
