   FWIW I am pretty sure this is an Apache Spark thing (calling more strict erorrs, etc "ANSI Mode" SQL) -- I am not saying it isn't useful, just that it isn't super widely used and I had never heard of such a thing until spark
   
   (basically I agree this is likely best scoped to be a spark specific project)
