Error while configuring Hadoop 1.3.0 on windows XP using Cygwin

Hi ,

Hi,
I tried to configure hadoop 1.0.3 .I added all libs from share folder to
lib directory.But still i get the error while formatting the
namenode

$ ./hadoop namenode -format
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:202)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247)
. Program will exit.in class:
Exception in thread "main"


Can you please help me out with this.

check from where you fired Hadoop command.

 

$HADOOP_HOME/bin/Hadoop namenode  -format
