Using regex function with multiple threads

Hi,
I have a test that I want to run with multiple threads. The test contains a
HTTP Request which uses the regex function to parse some data from the
previous HTTP response. The test plan works in single user mode but does not
always work with multiple threads.
When running the test with 2 or more threads the order of HTTP requests may
change so that the response the regex function gets may not be the one
intended, i.e. the response of the request immediately prior to the request
containing the regex function.
Does the regex function just process the previous response or can it process
the immediate response in the same thread?
Is there an alternative way around this?
Regards,
Una
