New weird Java plugin & Tomcat problem

Disregard the earlier message, this is the problem I have:

I have a servlet which forwards to a .jsp containing a JApplet accessed
through Java plugin.  All that works fine.  The problem comes when plugin
tries to download the JApplet code.  Here is the client side error:
