[jira] [Commented] (SPARK-29294) Update Kafka to a verison that
supports Scala 2.13
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-29294?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16996795#comment-16996795 ]
Sean R. Owen commented on SPARK-29294:
--------------------------------------
[~gsomogyi] I see that 2.4.0 was released last week, which supports Scala 2.13. It does however remove things like ZkUtils which Spark still uses. I think the path of least resistance is to inline ZkUtils, the parts that are used, into Spark.
I don't think I'll start working on it for some time, so feel free to go ahead if you like.

> Kafka 2.3.0 doesn't seem to support 2.13 yet. We'll need to update when one is published, to support 2.13.
