Problems building httpd-ldap and Apache 2.0.36
Hi there,
I'm having problems trying to build LDAP support into Apache 2.0.36. This
may be one for the dev list, but I've seen the earlier threads on this list
regarding the LDAP support so I figured it best to try here where there's
definitely helpful and knowledgable types.
I have read the notes at
http://helen.webdaemons.org/~jamesp/apache2_ldap.html
however they don't provide the full picture, and I may be doing something
wrong.
Having successfully build 2.0.36 with DSO support, I have checked out the
httpd-ldap module and attempted to build using apxs in the manner described
at the URL above. The error produced via this method is attached as
apxs.error
I have also tried checking out the httpd-ldap package into the modules/
directory, then running ./buildconf and adding --enable-ldap and
--enable-auth-ldap to my ./configure
In this case, the compile dies trying to build mod_auth_ldap - error
attached as build.error
>From the messages about undefined references I may suspect that it isn't
including a header it should be, but that output isn't helpful enough for me.
I have no idea what it's not finding, and hence no idea of how to correct
it.
Any suggestions on where I've gone wrong, or what else I can try would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Zac
