Certainly volunteering to help.  I'm not exactly sure what's involved  
in your release process.

So, my first question restated again:

  - Do we want to release trunk or the 1.4 branch?

I guess from there we can talk about what should go in; I imagine  
that's a different conversation if we are talking about the "final"  
branch vs trunk.
