schema support in xerces-J
Could someone please comment on which release of Xerces-J is support for XML
Schemas the furthest along?
For instance, several schema support features were added to the 1.3.1,
according to http://xml.apache.org/xerces-j/releases.html, but I can't tell
whether these features are also in Xerces-J 2.x (that is, I can't tell from
the Apache site, I haven't inspected the sources, and the list & check-in
archives have all been unavailable today).
According to http://xml.apache.org/xerces-j/schema.html, several schema
features are still TBD. I'd like to understand whether these remaining
features will be added to the 1.x sources, or will all future development
happening on the 2.x sources, particularly since the Xalan-J distributions
(even 2.0.1) are still being bundled with the Xerces 1.x. On the other hand,
if getting the greatest level of schema support means using Xerces-J 2.x w/
Xalan, that would be good to know also.
Thanks.
