Which connection pool ??

Hi,

I'm programming with Struts.
Since I have a lot of 'database traffic', I'm thinking about using
a connection pool.
Has anybody any experience in using connection pools with Struts.
Even better, if there would be a freeware connection pool.

Any help would be appreciated.
