403 error still unresolved - What am I missing?
Hi-
First, I corrected the typo noted by Ken Liu - without a change in the problem.
I've been re-installing Subversion on FreeBSD 7 after a disk crash.
This setup (conf files anyway) were taken from a working backup.
I normally use avn with TortoiseSVN from a Windows XP Box.
I've been through the book, faq, and archives - nothing found helps.
I keep getting 403 Forbidden errors on any operation. The repository
"jam" is currently empty and I've been trying to import.
the error occurs when importing with TORTOISESVN or
"svn import jam svn://..." or
"svn import jam http://...", even though all file permissions are set to 777.
"svn import jam file://..." works ok.

A forbidden error comes from the authz module, not from unix file
permissions.

What does you authz file in /usr/local/publicsvn/access look like? Does
it allow the correct write access to user 'user' ?
