JDK requirement?

I looked for an answer to this question on the web site, but did not find
it:

What is the minimum JDK required for Apache SOAP?

I'm specifically looking for something that will run under 1.1.4 (the JDK of
IE's default VM).

The current minimum is JDK 1.2, mainly because the collection classes 
are freely used.  However, SOAP 2.3.1 runs on JDK 1.1, I think, and I 
am almost certain SOAP 2.2 runs on 1.1.
