failing

Hi,

I just updated my subversion tree and noticed it's at 1.7. (wow).
I did a make check and got the following results:

Summary of test results:
   355 tests PASSED
   24 tests SKIPPED
   33 tests XFAILED (4 WORK-IN-PROGRESS)
   720 tests FAILED
make: *** [check] Error 1

I used to have 1111 tests passed. now 33 XFAILED,
and 720 failed completely.

Pardon my ignorance, but was it a wrong time to update the tree?

Yes.. there is something wrong with my setup. I'm finding that
openldap isn't configuring. Something about not finding
POSIX thread libraries, which isn't a good sign. :I

There is something wrong with your local setup I guess. When I ran make check I
get the following:

<snip>
Summary of test results:
  1112 tests PASSED
  24 tests SKIPPED
  32 tests XFAILED (3 WORK-IN-PROGRESS)
  2 tests FAILED
  1 test XPASSED (1 WORK-IN-PROGRESS)
make: *** [check] Error 1
</snip>

which is the same behavior observed in buildbots -
http://crest.ics.uci.edu/buildbot/builders/i686-debian-sarge1%20shared%20gcc-3.3.5/builds/320/steps/Test%20fsfs%2Bra_svn/logs/testlog/text

Thank You.

The buildbots report just a few failures; not that many.

See http://crest.ics.uci.edu/buildbot/waterfall for the current status.

(The mac buildbots have a local issue)

Looking at tests.log would help you to find what is fundamentally wrong
with your setup.
