Re: [VOTE] Release Cordova iOS 8.2.0

I'd prefer to proceed with the 8.2.0 release in its current state.
I think the three new PRs would be better suited for a follow-up release.
Also, as a quick reminder, let's try and keep all discussions on the
DISCUSS thread, rather than the VOTE thread.
Regards,
Bryan

AW: [VOTE] Release Cordova iOS 8.2.0
Posted by Manuel Beck <ma...@outlook.de>.
Hi Bryan,
While reviewing the 8.2.0 release candidate, I found three issues and opened PRs:
* Statusbar test synchronization: The tests can accept readiness notifications from another WebView and start a redundant navigation. This only affects the tests, so I would not consider it a release blocker.
https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/pull/1744
Darryl approved it already.
* Cold-launch link delivery: An auxiliary Cordova WebView can trigger delivery of buffered URLs and universal-link activities before the main page’s listeners exist. I reproduced this with two real Cordova WebViews in separate windows.
https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/pull/1746
* Device discovery: If devicectl fails or returns invalid output, device discovery throws before reaching the USB fallback.
https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/pull/1745
Darryl approved it already.
The affected tests pass with the fixes, and the link-delivery regression tests fail against the unmodified release code.
How should we proceed? Should we merge these fixes and prepare a new release candidate, or treat them as follow-up fixes and continue with the current candidate?
Regards,
Manuel
