How to upgrade flink version to 1.13
hi,streampipes:
I am using streampipes, but I found that the version of flink is 1.9.
I want to use some features above 1.13+. At the same time, there are CVE
vulnerabilities in 1.9(CVE-2020-17518
<https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2020-17518>、
CVE-2020-17519
<https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2020-17519>), so I hope
to upgrade the flink version, but I don’t know how to upgrade, and I hope
to give support.
TKS.

Hi Walfred,
welcome!
Just one addition:
There is already an issue [1] for upgrading Flink to 1.13. I think that Xin is working on this and he might be able to give some details on the current status!
In general, I'd say the Flink wrapper would benefit from some housekeeping so any help is welcome!
Cheers,
Dominik

Hi Walfred,
welcome to the StreamPipes mailinglist and thanks for your question.
Regarding your question, we set the flink version within the parent pom of the core project [1].
In general, StreamPipes provides several wrappers for different target environments, chief among
is Flink. Thus, we have a Flink wrapper [2] which does the heave-lifting part under the hood when
you write a new Flink processor in StreamPipes, e.g., the aggregation processor [3].
At this point, I’m not sure wether simply bumping up the Flink version would lead to breaking changes
due to updated API’s. If you are eager you can create a JIRA issue and try it out - we welcome everyone
to contribute, so you could eventually provide a pull request.
In case you have any questions or something is unclear do not hesitate to ask here.
Best
