nested complex types

I'm experiencing some weirdness when generating jaxb objects from the
schema. Below is the schema that I am using where I have a nested
complex type that is not public. What I'm seeing is that SessionType is
generated with a nested class HistoryType. This is fine. However, a
file named SessionType$HistoryType is also generated.

Even weirder is that if you use the PM generator, the PM classes are
generated as nested classes in the interface as well as in the impl.

Is there something that I'm missing that will cause this?
Thanks
/colin
