New Vietnamese Translator
I am a new translator in this community. As mr. Anh Phan has described in
his previous email about his own status in the translating progress. I
would like to ask the community for letting me a chance to join in with you
- the AOO Localization Project.

Account "vietnamesel10n" created and enabled for Vietnamese.
Please go to
https://translate.apache.org/accounts/password/reset/
to receive your password.
Then you will able to login at
https://translate.apache.org/accounts/login/
and translate at
https://translate.apache.org/vi/aoo40/ (now complete, but you can edit
translations to modify them if needed)
https://translate.apache.org/vi/aoo40help/ (still incomplete)
A detailed Pootle guide is available at
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Pootle_User_Guide
I suggest that you test your permissions at the URLs above.
But if you have some time to spend on Vietnamese localization in the
next few weeks, the most helpful task would probably be to bring the
Vietnamese website up-to-date. See http://www.openoffice.org/vi/ ; the
idea is to give it a structure like http://www.openoffice.org/vi-test/ ;
in case you are interested, ask here and someone (probably Rob) will
prepare a new set of pages, with the latest updates, and send it to you
for translation, together with all instructions.
Regards,
Andrea.

Welcome, and please let us know your preferred username for Pootle so
that we can create an account for you.
Pootle is our translation system. It is available at
https://translate.apache.org/ and all contributions made through it are
assumed to be under the Apache License, the same license used by OpenOffice.
As soon as we get your preferred username (shall it be "vietnamesel10n"?
do you prefer something more personal?) we will create the account so
that you can start contributing. And thanks to Anh Phan for putting you
in contact with us.
Regards,
Andrea.
