Meaning of "Current" in Solr Cloud Statistics
Hi everyone,
Is there an official definition of the "Current" flag under Core >
Home > Statistics?
What would it mean if a shard leader is not "Current"?
Thanks,

Something like 'Reader is Current' might be better. Personally, I don't even know if it's worth showing.

Perhaps the wording of "Current" is a bit too generic in that context? I'd like to change that description if that clarifies things .. but not sure which one is a better fit?

Stefan,
Thanks a lot! Makes sense. So I don't have to worry about my leader
thinking it's out of date, then.

Hey Michael
I was a bit confused because you mentioned SolrCloud in the subject. We're talking about http://host:port/solr/#/collection1 (f.e.) right? And there, the left-upper Box "Statistics" ?
If so, the Output comes from /solr/collection1/admin/luke ( http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/lucene/dev/trunk/solr/core/src/java/org/apache/solr/handler/admin/LukeRequestHandler.java?view=markup#l551 ) which uses DirectoryReader.isCurrent() under the Hood.
That method contains a explanation in its javadocs: http://lucene.apache.org/core/4_2_0/core/org/apache/lucene/index/DirectoryReader.html#isCurrent()
