[jira] [Resolved] (SPARK-12839) Implement CoSelect for Feature Selection and Instance Selection

Sean Owen resolved SPARK-12839.
-------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

Have a look at https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SPARK/Contributing+to+Spark#ContributingtoSpark-MLlib-specificContributionGuidelines

This sounds interesting, though it should probably start outside Spark.

> Key: SPARK-12839
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-12839
> Project: Spark
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: ML, MLlib
> Reporter: Morgan Funtowicz
> Priority: Minor
>
> I recently implemented CoSelect Framework (http://www.public.asu.edu/~jtang20/publication/coselect.pdf) in Matlab for internal use in my school.
> As this framework is able to perform both Feature Selection and Instance Selection on social data or not, I'm thinking he could be interesting to enhance Spark ML/MLlib in these fields.
