site:deploy to Microsoft FTP server

Has anyone used the site:deploy goal with a MS FTP server? I got it working
with ant by updating commons-net to 1.2.1. I updated the project.xml for the
site plugin to use this dependency instead of 1.1.0 but still no luck. The
artifact plugin is working with no issues. Any help?
