apache 2.0.39 & php 4.2.1 compile

Hi all,

Not long time ago I saw a post on compiling php4.2.1 with apache 2.0.39 
on linux,

Becase php make command returns an error there was someone
explaining which file has to be altered in order to compile it succesfuly.

I cannont find that post anymore, can anyone please tell me again
what needs to be changed?

why are you using apache 2.0.39?

did you read any of the install instructions on PHP's website?

http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.linux.php

Look at the second post by Stephen, I have installed PHP with XML, MySQL, GD
with no errors using the newest version of apache, anything less would be
uncivilized.. hah
