I also saw the similar behavior in open solaris (snv_79).

httpd.conf contains :
Listen 192.168.21.1:80
Listen 192.168.22.1:80

In error log, I observed : 
[Mon Jan 28 18:10:48 2008] [notice] Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) configured -- resuming
normal operations
[Mon Jan 28 18:10:49 2008] [error] (70007)The timeout specified has expired:
apr_pollset_poll: (listen)
