           Summary: initConnection function in Publisher.java gives NPE
           Product: JMeter
           Version: 2.2
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Main
        AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: whordijk@triennium.com

After debugging class :

org/apache/jmeter/protocol/jms/client/Publisher.java

function initConnection

I noticed that the "this.CONN = ConnectionFactory.getTopicConnection();"
resulted in this.CONN equals NULL! I've fixed this problem by inserting the
statement "ConnectionFactory.getTopicConnectionFactory(ctx, connfactory);"
BEFORE the call to "this.CONN = ConnectionFactory.getTopicConnection();".

My JMS Broker : Sonic MQ 7.0

I've patched both the publisher and reciever to lookup the connection factory.
the nightly build should have the fix.

Hi Peter,
