I have found that the most likely cause is your mail server is stricter about spam/attachments

To find out the  subject of the e-mails, send an message to (e.g.)

board-index-75313@apache.org

This will return details of index numbers 75300-75399.
Usually it's obvious from the subject when the mail was spam.
If not you can use the details to find the mail in the archives.

In this case the details are:

75313: FAX_4043
        16 Sep 2016 Rex
75316: DOC_3133
        16 Sep 2016 Jorge

These are mails with suspicious attachments
