[jira] [Created] (TINKERPOP-3157) Identify and remove API elements that lack utility outside of the Java
Stephen Mallette created TINKERPOP-3157:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: Identify and remove API elements that lack utility outside of the Java
Key: TINKERPOP-3157
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TINKERPOP-3157
Project: TinkerPop
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: dotnet, go, javascript, python
Affects Versions: 3.7.3
Reporter: Stephen Mallette
Certain API elements of Java have leaked into language variants and dont' always make sense. In an effort to clean up public APIs a bit we could remove some of this infrastructure outside of the JVM. One clear example is "applying traversal strategies" which doens't have much utility outside of the JVM.
