BOM is not consumed by XMLEntityManager when user sets encoding on InputSource
Summary: BOM is not consumed by XMLEntityManager when user sets
encoding on InputSource
Product: Xerces2-J
Version: 2.2.1
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Other
AssignedTo: xerces-j-dev@xml.apache.org
ReportedBy: mglavass@ca.ibm.com
If a user attempts to parse a UTF-8 document containing a BOM using an
InputSource, and sets the encoding to UTF-8 on the InputSource,
XMLEntityManager.setupCurrentEntity() will not consume the BOM. This causes a
parse error since the BOM is returned as the first character from UTF8Reader.
