It would be nice for {{testUncachingBlocksBeforeCachingFinishes}} to use explicit synchronization rather than a delay, to ensure that we are testing the try-to-cache-but-uncache-before-it-finishes case.  We probably need Mockito or some more test hooks in {{FsDatasetCache}} in order to do this right.
