Connecting to Windows XP using My Network Places

Hi guys,
as I'm new to slide I'm exploring it's features.
Today I'm trying to connect a client XP to a Slide server following the
instructions in the "Connecting to Windows XP using My Network Places"
that I found in the site.
First question:
inside the page there is this statement :
"This HOWTO will walk you through connecting to a Slide share from
Windows XP."
So I imagined that this means that I can connect with XP as a client to
a server running slide. Is it true?
Becouse the title says "Connecting TO Windows XP..", so now I hav the
doubt that the server also has to run on XP.

Now, I'd like to run Slide as server on Linux and XP as client on
Windows. Is it possible?

Second question:
Well. I assumed that it's possible, so I started the server with linux
and started Slide.
If I try to connect from the XP client to the URL
http://myServer:8080/slide everything runs fine.
But whe I try to follow the tutorial and I enter my server's address I
get a message saying that the folder is not valid.
So now I have this doubt:
in the tutorial is witten about the Tomcat Context path. I assumed
that this is "slide " in my case.
Practically speaking I inserted the URL that I typed into my browser. Am
I right?
If yes what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance,
    Giorgio
