[jira] [Created] (FINERACT-2840) Key Develocity CI detection to GitHub Actions
Clay Johnson created FINERACT-2840:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Key Develocity CI detection to GitHub Actions
Key: FINERACT-2840
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2840
Project: Apache Fineract
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Clay Johnson
settings.gradle derives {{isCI}} from the {{JENKINS_URL}} environment variable:
{code:groovy}
def isCI = System.getenv('JENKINS_URL') != null
{code}
Fineract's CI runs entirely on GitHub Actions, which never sets {{JENKINS_URL}}, and there is no Jenkins configuration anywhere in the repository. {{isCI}} is therefore always {{false}}.
Its only consumer is {{buildScan.uploadInBackground = !isCI}}, so background upload stays enabled on CI. On an ephemeral GitHub Actions runner the job can terminate before a backgrounded Build Scan upload completes, which loses the scan.
Key the check to {{GITHUB_ACTIONS}}, which GitHub Actions always sets. Uploads then happen synchronously on CI, and remain backgrounded for local developer builds where the latency matters.
