I'm not able to authenticate root user

Hi,

I successfully installed jakarta slide 1.0.16 (I think so), Catalina web
manager aplication works but I can't access the Editor View (I'm using the
default configuration), I'm not able to authenticate a user (root), I have edited
the Domain.xml (from slide.war), slide.conf and slide.data files but no way.
