When SlingAnnotationsTestRunner is used together with SlingRemoteExecutionRule the test errors out with an NPE at:

org.apache.sling.junit.annotations.SlingAnnotationsTestRunner.createTest() line: 43	

It is expecting to run in an  OSGI environment  but e.g. when launching from Eclipse the test is not  connected to an OSGI environment.
