[jira] [Created] (SLING-8288) Starter builds do not trigger execution of ITs

Robert Munteanu created SLING-8288:
--------------------------------------

             Summary: Starter builds do not trigger execution of ITs
                 Key: SLING-8288
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SLING-8288
             Project: Sling
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Build and Source Control
            Reporter: Robert Munteanu

I noticed that the [master job of org-apache-sling-launchpad-testing|https://builds.apache.org/job/Sling/job/sling-org-apache-sling-launchpad-testing/job/master/] does not trigger a build of the [master job of org-apache-sling-starter|https://builds.apache.org/job/Sling/job/sling-org-apache-sling-starter/job/master].

This should be handled by the Jenkinfile Maven plugin, but it does not work at the moment.

Looking [Maven dashboard for the Starter job|https://builds.apache.org/job/Sling/job/sling-org-apache-sling-starter/job/master/maven/] I see the following generated artifacts:

* org.apache.sling.starter-12-SNAPSHOT-sources.jar
* org.apache.sling.starter-12-SNAPSHOT-slingfeature.txt
* org.apache.sling.starter-12-SNAPSHOT.jar
* org.apache.sling.starter-12-SNAPSHOT-webapp.war
* org.apache.sling.starter-12-SNAPSHOT.pom

In the [Maven dashboard for the Launchpad-testing job|https://builds.apache.org/job/Sling/job/sling-org-apache-sling-launchpad-testing/job/master/maven/] I see those artifacts listed as dependencies, but there is no link to the upstream job ( and the same goes for the test-bundles dependency).

Dependencies:

* org.apache.sling:org.apache.sling.launchpad.test-bundles:txt:12-SNAPSHOT - txt - provided
* org.apache.sling:org.apache.sling.launchpad.test-fragment:jar:12-SNAPSHOT - jar - provided
* org.apache.sling:org.apache.sling.launchpad.test-services:jar:12-SNAPSHOT - jar - provided
* org.apache.sling:org.apache.sling.launchpad.test-services-war:war:12-SNAPSHOT - war - provided
* org.apache.sling:org.apache.sling.starter:jar:12-SNAPSHOT - jar - provided
* org.apache.sling:org.apache.sling.starter:txt:slingfeature:12-SNAPSHOT - txt - provided

Upstream builds:

* https://builds.apache.org/job/Sling/job/sling-org-apache-sling-launchpad-test-services/job/master/8/
* https://builds.apache.org/job/Sling/job/sling-org-apache-sling-launchpad-test-fragment/job/master/6/
* https://builds.apache.org/job/Sling/job/sling-org-apache-sling-launchpad-test-services-war/job/master/6/
