Marcus Sorensen commented on CLOUDSTACK-506:
--------------------------------------------

I was able to reproduce this with adding NFS primary storage as well. It looks as though they're simply not updating the active page with the createstoragepoolresponse, so you have to refresh to get the detail view to work. I'll see if I can reroute this to whomever works on the UI.

yes, i run console proxy and storage on this primary storage.

1. Create 2 managment server
2. Create Master-Master SQL Server I'm using Percona-Server-server-55-5.5.28-rel29.1.335.rhel6.x86_64
3. Create 2 node RHCS cluster with CLVM
4. Create volume group on shared iSCSI disk (with multipathing)
5. Create the zone.
6. Create KVM cluster
7. Create primary storage (using a VG from the previous step)

So if I understand you correctly, the primary storage adds correctly, but it requires a refresh of the UI to see the storage?

Hmm. Ok. I haven't done much with the UI, it could be a simple UI bug or it could be a mistake in what is being passed back, or even something that fails but sticks around in the database. Do you know if it actually works as primary storage after this? I do fresh installs and perform this operation relatively often with no issue, do you have a procedure to reproduce and perhaps some logs around this time?

Ok, I've got it now. I missed the fact that you have to click on the storage to get details immediately after the primary storage is added. I'm 99% sure this is a UI bug, and I'm not super familiar with the UI but I'll try to reproduce it and then figure out what's going on.

I don't know why I thought I'd have access to edit the bug report :-) At any rate it needs to be looked at by someone who does the UI code.
