   Related to, but not sufficiently addressed by #21171, additional context in original ticket. To summarize:
   
   TF Records/TF Example is a special protobuf input type that's more flexible, and often accompanied by a schema, or metadata that can be used to infer schema data. It would be really helpful if beam could read this data format and integrate it with other schema-aware tools such as the DataFrame API or other things like beam SQL, since it's a reasonably popular format for machine learning workloads
