[jira] Resolved: (MAPREDUCE-1601) CombineFileInputFormat and Job
classes
Amareshwari Sriramadasu resolved MAPREDUCE-1601.
------------------------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
CombineFileInputFormat is re-written with new api through MAPREDUCE-364 and it is committed to branch 0.21. The new org.apache.hadoop.mapreduce.lib.input.CombineFileInputFormat should be used with Job apis.
MAPREDUCE-364 cannot be committed to branch 0.20 now, because it is an improvement.

> --------------------------------------
>
> Key: MAPREDUCE-1601
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-1601
> Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: build
> Affects Versions: 0.20.2
> Environment: Javac
> Reporter: Aleksandar Stupar
>
> org.apache.hadoop.mapred.lib.CombineFileInputFormat can not be used with org.apache.hadoop.mapreduce.Job
> because Job.setInputFormat requires subclass of org.apache.hadoop.mapreduce.InputFormat and CombineFileInputFormat
> extends org.apache.hadoop.mapred.FileInputFormat.
> Also CombineFileInputFormat uses deprecated classes.
