merging two diffrent presentation issues

I am facing problem in merging two different custom layout problems. Problem is as follows:

When I am reading the file and generating merge file in out put I see it as only one custom format and that is of second presentation where as count is perfect and problem is - first presentations slide layout (Custom) not appearing in output.

I think it is necessary to link the worksheet to an external data source to do this, something that would normally be done from within Excel itself - starting by clicking Data on the ribbon. How you could accomplish this from within POI I do not know. Also, that is think, as I am far from being an Excel guru.

May I ask please, is the workbook you have in the older binary format (an
xls) or the 'newer' xml based one (an xlsx)? If the patter, I would be inclined to unzip the archive and have a dig around. Aside from that piece of sage advice, I have nothing else to offer, sorry, but am intrigued to see what the answer may be.
