[jira] [Commented] (WOOKIE-169) Request API Key Form Problem

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WOOKIE-169?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13127508#comment-13127508 ]

Paul Sharples commented on WOOKIE-169:
--------------------------------------

This mostly works for all browsers except Google Chrome. I've just commited a fix for this.
(Chrome wouldn't let you submit the form at all without a (blur) handler being added also.

Environment
----------
O/S Windows 7 x64 sp1

IE 9
-----
Opera 11.10
-----------
Could not get the list up to choose from - but form submitted okay

Firefox 7.0.1
-------------
Safari 5.0.4
-------------
Chrome 14.0.835 (after fix submitted)
-------------------------------------

List appears & you choose a previously entered email address.
The input box is updated to reflect your choice, but the icon is still the red cross.
This does not change until you either...

(a) Actually click the form submission button, where it then turns the icon green and submits the form
(b) Click anywhere else on the page, activating the blur, the icon becomes green.

I think that although its not perfect as long as you can submit the form in any browser (a) then its not a big problem. Shall i close this?

> The script that checks the email address and passes it or fails it works fine when you type the full email address in. However, if you choose from a popup list of previously types email addresses the script fails the address even if it is valid.
