FOP 0.19 System Hanging
There appears to be a problem with the latest downloadable version of
FOP-0.19.0-CVS
The system hangs after displaying 'writing out PDF'.
Ctrl&C breaks out. The PDF is complete.

Out o fmemory patch

I have just tested the Out of memory patch for FOP-0.19, and it seems to
work fine except that with SVG examples fop hangs. But if Keiron has fixed
it I'll now pass it on to Arved.
Some developer notes abt the fix:

I have serialized, fo:text, line-area and pdf-stream and written them out to
a file and read it back when necessary. So all the memory consuming mosters
are slayed so to speak. But as a coder, the danger is if anyone innocently
causes a circular reference in say line-area, u'll end up with a
not-serializable exception while running. This should go somewhere in some
spec/faq.
Lots of work for Arved now!!!

This is really a java problem.
I have changed it so that the CommandLine now exits after completion.
