[Issue 125676] New: Cannot install OO4.1.1 on Ubuntu14.04

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125676

          Issue ID: 125676
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Cannot install OO4.1.1 on Ubuntu14.04
           Product: Installation
           Version: 4.1.1
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: code
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: bertil.em.roos@telia.com

At the installation (on Linux-Ubuntu14.04 with removed LibreOffice) I am warned
that the installation file is corrupt by the message:
Lintian check results: for /home-bertil/openoffice4.1.1-9775_all.deb:
E: openoffice-debian menues: control-file-has-bad-permissions postinst
0775!=0775
" " " " " " " " " " postrm " "
and the same with ....................postprerm
E: openoffice-debian menues:maintainer-addressmissing Apache Software
Foundation.

When I force the installation it starts but fails with (among other info):

dpkg: error processing
archive/home/l-bertil/openoffice4.1-debianmenues_4.1.1-9775_all.deb
(--install): trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/soffice' which is also in package
libreoffice-common 1:4.2.6.3 - Oubuntu1
...
Errors were encountered while processing:
(no mor text was displayed)

I have uninstalled all (i knew) libreoffice programs before I started the
installation.

(I have Windows 7 installed on this computer too. On another computer with
Windows 7 I had no problems to install OO4.1.1)

Can you help and give me advice how to fix this problem with installation of
OO4.1.1 on Linux-Ubunt14.04

Best regard / Bertil Roos

Your bug report is being closed as NOT_AN_ISSUE due to inactivity and a lack of
information which is needed in order to accurately reproduce and confirm the
problem. We encourage you to retest your bug against the latest release. If the
issue is still present in the latest stable release, we need the following
information (please ignore any that you've already provided):

a) Provide details of your system including your operating system and the
latest version of AOO that you have confirmed the bug to be present

b) Provide a step-by-step procedure to reproduce (the simpler will be the
better)

c) Provide any test case(s) which will help us confirm the problem (like a
sample document)

d) Provide screenshots of the problem if you think it might help

e) Read all comments and provide any requested information

Once all of this is done, please set the bug back to UNCONFIRMED and we will
attempt to reproduce the issue.

Which exactly version of Ubuntu 14.04: 32 or 64bit?

You are in wrong place here. This is a bug tracking system not a helpdesk.

If you are some trouble to install AOO, please post directly to our end-user
forum:
https://forum.openoffice.org
You will find other users to help you.
