[jira] [Commented] (FLINK-18894) StateFun job stalls on stop-with-savepoint

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-18894?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17175822#comment-17175822 ]

Stephan Ewen commented on FLINK-18894:
--------------------------------------

I think that StateFun has no way of handling finite input at the moment. Be that a bounded input, or stopping an unbounded input.
The common mechanism in Flink doesn't work because of the loop.

> Stateful Function jobs stall when performing a stop with savepoint. The FunctionDispatchOperator never acknowledges completion and so the savepoint never finishes. Taking a savpoint and then canceling in two seperate steps works correctly, it is only the stop command that has issues.
> {code}
> curl -X POST localhost:8001/jobs/:jobid/stop -d '{"drain": false}'
> {code}
