restarting tomcat programatically

hi,
i am trying to restart tomcat from my web application. Is there anyway i can do it programmatically?
Does Tomcat provide any class to allow restart(I know about org.apache.tomcat.startup.Tomcat, i have tried this, It does not work b,coz once VM dies it does not call start)?
