It's called "Shareable Nodes", see
http://www.day.com/specs/jcr/2.0/14_Shareable_Nodes.html.

Note that while Jackrabbit does support shareable nodes, the feature hasn't
been too widely used in practice and thus hasn't been too high up in our
priority list of things to focus on.
