Click is using a rather old OGNL version + a patch.
Please update to the latest one: http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven2/ognl/ognl/2.7.3/
Other projects that used OGNL with patches, now upgraded to to 2.7.3 (since it does not require patches).
There's also a very very new version: 3.0 that might be worth trying:
