WML Tag library on TO DO list

	Hi,
I have been listening for a while and have not heard anything on WML tag
library.
Did anyone volunteered on this issue and I missed that. The reason I am
asking
is I have a WML tag library I can contribute. It needs some work to cover
all the
WML tags and also needs some polishing but I can start working on it.

	Regards

	Gorkem

Hello,

+1 for wap stuff as well!

Is this package elected as Struts standard for further development?

Looks good for me!

Though there might be problems with the WmlTag as it appends xml and doctype tags just before wml-tag. Some clients have problems parsing pages, that doesn't start with xml tag and doctype declaration. Even spaces before these tags are considered harmful.

Cheers,
Kare

Yes, WML goes to be xhtml, it is in the WAP2 specs already.
But I must agreee with the Nic a WAP tag library should be included
	since it is on demand.

	+1 for wap tag lib

I also posted a WML Tag LIbrary to the list a couple of weeks ago

http://www.mail-archive.com/struts-user@jakarta.apache.org/msg12509.html
and
http://www.mail-archive.com/struts-user@jakarta.apache.org/msg12596.html

but have had little feedback on it. As Incze says we may want to think more
long term but there is also an argument that wap is here now and people are
developing wap solutions not just thinking to what (might) be there in the
future. I guess it comes down to demand. I personally see nothing wrong with
putting the effort into a wml tag lib now even if it is out-of-date soon. I
think wap will be with us for a little longer yet especially in the UK.
(Although those in the industry will probably prove me wrong ;)

Don't exactly know what WML means at the moment. But. To start a WML 1.x
would be wasting of efforts as WML goes to be xhtml and mobile displays
are evolving very quickly. (And yes, people will by them, you can
be sure, I know them.) But if WML will be xhtml then there is not
real no special task. I would rather propose a see and wait position.
