Thank you very much for your contribution. One of us will get around to
looking over it and ensuring the license issues are addressed. I don't
think we can include the docbook stylesheets in SVN for example. This
isn't a problem, we recently identified a way of distributing plugins
that cannot be released in binary form from ASF hardware.
In the meantime, if anyone wants to work on this plugin (i.e. convert
the properties to the new 0.8-dev property system) please join us over
on the dev list where we ca provide you with guidance.
[OFF TOPIC] Nigel, I notice you are from Aberystwyth Uni. I find myself
in that part of Wales now and again, in fact I applied for a job at your
Uni a few years ago. Lovely place to walk and to relax, I imagine it is
a great place to live too.

Attachment: uk.ac.aber.dcs.armet.internal.zip
The zipped plugin as it is.
My last upload failed. Thi stime I have tickd the "Attachment not intended for inclusion" instead of leaving the Q blank (in case that was the problem). It is the case that I am making the code available but do not know what the status of the included docbook code is.

Nigel Hardy commented on FOR-908:
---------------------------------
Question to me:
Carry on and add ASF headers as appropriate to sitemaps and stylesheets
In resources/stylesheets (apart from the ~ files) there are:
article2fo.xsl
This as both necessary and unnecessary customisation of the distributed docbook sheets.
See the index.xml for the necessary bits
article2html.xsl
I don't believe this has any strictly necessary customisations in it.
I fiddled with TOC control which is quite useful in context.
dir2doc.xsl
This processes the xpathdirectory output
docbook-xsl-1.69.1
Necessary somehow
html2document.xsl
This silghtly customises an old forrest dirtibution.
i.e. it is necessary but out of date with 0.8
makefile
irrelevant
minutesfo.xsl
minuteshtml.xsl
These can be removed q.v.
Yes, all the "minutes" stuff can be removed. It is a local docbook extension. Again, see index.xml for the article2fo.xsl customisation which involves this.
lib/xfc.jar: A failed and forgotten first attempt at getting .frt generated using the XML Mind library. Delete it. Probably has licensing implications!
src/documentation/content/rep looks to me like test data for use before reposdir was implemented. Please delete :-) - it's probably vaguely proprietory to us!

David Crossley commented on FOR-908:

Thanks. I did a "quick" review of the licensing situation. Perhaps some other Forrest committers can comment too.
Ross, on the user mailing list you wondered whether we can include the DocBook XSL. Its license does permit us to. We already include some DocBook DTDs. What has prevented us in the past is the size of the XSL. We can expect people to have the XSL on their system as a pre-requisite. Another option that we discussed in the past was to develop a download mechanism for such resources.
Nigel, the other issues are the parts that you developed:
The sitemaps and some stylesheets are fine, an obvious extension of what the Forrest default plugin template provides. We would update the license headers to the new ASF header.
There are some other stylesheets article*.xsl that have been generated. I am not clear about the situation with those. Would you please explain their origin.
The minutes.dtd is your DocBook customisation. Does this and the minutes*.xsl need to be included? They seem to be a different purpose to this plugin.
What is lib/xfc.jar ?
I gather that everything under src/documentation/content/rep is your example data which would not be added to Forrest. Whoever develops this plugin would create a separate basic example.
